There are five common forming methods for stainless steel seamless elbows, which are introduced below.
1. Forging method
Use a swage forging machine to stretch the pipe end or part to reduce the outer diameter. Commonly used swage forging machines include rotary type, connecting rod type, and roller type.
2. Rolling method
A core is placed inside the tube, and the outer circumference is pushed with a roller for round edge processing.
3. Stamping method
Use a tapered core on a punch to expand the pipe end to the required size and shape.
4. Bending and forming
① Stretching method; ② Stamping method; ③ Roller method, there are 3-4 rollers, two fixed rollers, and one adjusting roller. Adjust the fixed roller distance, and the finished pipe fitting will be curved.
5. Bulging method
①Put rubber inside the tube and compress it with a punch to make the tube protrude into shape;
② Hydraulic bulging, filling the middle of the tube with liquid, and the liquid pressure bulges the tube into the desired shape. This method is mostly used for corrugated tubes.
