1. Most of the pipe fittings are used for welding. In order to improve the welding quality, the ends will be grooved, leaving a certain angle and a certain edge. This requirement is strict, and there are relevant regulations on the thickness of the side, the angle and the deviation range, and the surface quality and mechanical properties are basically consistent with the pipe. For the convenience of welding, the fittings are of the same steel grade as the pipes being connected.
2. Requirements for packaging. Some small pipe fittings, such as outlets, need to be made into a wooden box with a size of about 1m³. The number of elbows in this wooden box should not exceed 1t. This standard allows sets, that is, large sets and small sets, but the total weight generally does not exceed 1t. Large pieces should be packaged individually, such as 24″ must be packaged individually. In addition, the packaging should be marked, indicating the size, steel number, batch number, manufacturer’s trademark, etc.
